FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions

Most vehicle manufacturers recommend changing automatic transmission fluid every 60,000 to 100,000 km.
Signs include delayed gear engagement, harsh or jerky shifting, transmission slippage during acceleration, whining noises, and burnt-smelling or dark brown fluid.
On vehicles with serviceable transmission pans and filters, the service includes dropping the pan, cleaning internal magnets, and installing a new OEM-spec filter and pan gasket.
Cold weather causes transmission fluid to thicken, resulting in slightly delayed or sluggish shifts until the drivetrain warms up.
